Insulting somebody is not a crime. It's stupid, but if I call you a 'faggot' (just an example, not how I feel about you :) ), I should not go to jail for doing so.

The club can bar them from games, fine, but how are these chants a crime? Maybe this is some weird European thing...Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16882752106662170837noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-154169622905782919.post-22510729669631269982012-11-04T06:01:06.914-08:002012-11-04T06:01:06.914-08:00This is an interesting read. The nationalist group are against Jews and Roma. Recently, during a Hungarian national team game against Israel, the crowd was chanting the name of a Hungarian concentration camp along with other slurs.

In the rural areas, you don't see the nationalist fans in hockey arenas. However, for the Budapest derby, the anti-Semitic football hooligans tend to show up. Racism, luckily, hasn't reared its ugly head on the ice...but there should be some worry as Hungary tries to make hockey more popular and games begin to draw more fans.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
